The City of Victor Harbor updated its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan in early 2026. Adopted at an Ordinary Council Meeting on 27 April 2026, the refreshed Plan will guide Council’s work over the next four years, ensuring that progress in this space continues.

Thank you to all community members who shared feedback and provided input into this project.

The Disability Access and Plan 2026-2030 outlines how Council will support access, inclusion and equity for people living with disability across the region. It is structured around five key domains:

  • Inclusive environments and communities
  • Education and employment
  • Personal and community support
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Safety, rights and justice

The updated Plan has been shaped through collaboration and lived experience, with valuable insight provided by Council’s Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee. Community members were also involved in its development, sharing feedback and participating in focus groups held during February and March 2026.

Aligned with the South Australia Disability Inclusion Act 2018 and the State Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029, the Plan ensures that Council’s local actions contribute to broader statewide goals for inclusion.

Importantly, it reinforces Council’s long‑term commitment to accessibility and inclusion - recognising what has been achieved so far, while setting a clear direction for continued improvement into the future.
