Draft Climate Change Policy
The City of Victor Harbor has developed a Draft Climate Change Policy and is inviting the community to provide feedback.
In 2019, Council declared a Climate Emergency in response to the growing impacts of climate change on our region. These impacts include rising temperatures, extreme weather events, coastal erosion, and risks to community wellbeing, infrastructure, and the natural environment.
The Draft Climate Change Policy provides a clear framework to guide how Council plans for, responds to, and mitigates the impacts of climate change across the district. It sets the overall direction for how climate change is considered in Council decision‑making, planning, and service delivery now and into the future.
